Cigar Reviewed: CAO Flathead

Smoked at: Carolinas

Love this Flathead 554. Beautiful dark wrapper, slightly squared profile, with a stylish black and silver band. The unlit draw is sweet with a nice cured tobacco flavor. It lights easily and immediately delivers notes of molasses and something almost fruity. The draw is perfect with plenty of billowy flavorful smoke. It's very smooth and burns cool and evenly. As the smoke progresses, the flavors intensify and you begin to get some spice, but it's not too peppery. The construction of this cigar is flawless. Not as big of a ring size as the 95 rated 660, this cigar is 5.5 x 54 and delivers a smoke of more than an hour. I paired it with an unsweetened latte for a lovely Saturday evening smoke that was full-flavored but smooth.
