Cigar Reviewed: Partagás Cortado

I received this cigar through the Cigar World Testing Lab. I can say very little to fault this cigar. I thought the band to be the best of the newer old Cuban brands to date. The aroma was gentle, inviting and overall pleasant. The smoke was smooth with just enough peppery kick through the nose. The flavor of the smoke was not eye-popping, but it was a good change of pace for a Connecticut seed wrapped cigar. I'm not a huge fan of Connecticut seed wrappers, but this cigar was good in its own style. Mild, not overbearing. Wheat, cereal and a great creamy smoothness. I thought it to be balanced in the regard that it was not overly sweet nor strong. A great new mild cigar from Partagas. I would recommend, and I will certainly be smoking again. Try a few for yourself and be sure to lend a few, as I could see friends appreciation for this one!
