Cigar Reviewed: Nub by Oliva Triple Roast

Smoked at: Carolinas

Lit up an Oliva Nub Nuance Triple Roast right before my Friday afternoon drive home through the Carolina mountains. Beautiful cool October day with a sunny blue sky. Great cigar. A little music. Just lean back and enjoy. Don't even mind the traffic. Slightly sweet tip with strong coffee flavor on the cold draw. Fully bodied smoke with flavors of espresso and dark chocolate through the first third. A bit nutty with sweeter cocoa notes through the middle third. Swirls of vanilla delight the senses in the final third. This four inch cigar is a delicious experience that is both uplifting and relaxing. But it's s shortie. Before you know it your well into the mid third and you've got to be careful to keep the cherry cool. It's about a 40 minute smoke with an integrity that shows in the craftsmanship. So you don't think infused cigars are for serious cigar smokers? That's OK. There's lots of other choices out there for you. As for me, I won't hesitate to smoke and enjoy just about any cigar that has the Oliva name on it. Infused or not, their offerings rarely disappoint.
