Cigar Reviewed: Macanudo M Coffee

Smoked at: NEW ORLEANS

As soon as I removed the cigar from the wrapper and cut it with a straight cut, there were smells of coffee, and mocha that burst and attacked my senses...The prelight draw was sweet with hints of chocolate and cinnamon. On my initial draw, I picked up notes of chocolate, cream, and vanilla. The retrohale left a little hit of white pepper riding on a wave of cream and sweet musk. The cream seemed to be the conduit on which chocolate, mocha, and coffee all ride to pepper the senses. Marshmallow has showed up on the scene and is debating coffee furiously for the lead role. Marshmallow takes ahold, but not before orange peel makes a short live appearance. The white ash is stacking nicely in dime layers and the burn is flawless. A grassy sweetness has appeared as a bridge, though I am yet to know where we are going...Back to coffee, and marshmallow land I see...

Great composition, not overly complex but slight shifts and subtle transitions between 3 or 4 constant flavors. Nice medium bodied cigar that was flavorful and well constructed!
