La Gloria Cubana Releases the Second Society Cigar
La Gloria Cubana has turned, again, to their biggest fans to help create a limited-edition cigar. The 2023 Society Cigar, like the first Society Cigar, was partly developed by members of the La Gloria Cubana Society (LGC Society). The brand sent LGC Society members different blends to taste and rank over the past year. Now, the highest-rated blend is set for a limited-edition release.
2023 La Gloria Cubana Society Cigar Blend Information
La Gloria Cubana solicited over 2,000 fans to determine the blend for the 2023 Society Cigar. The result is a deep brown, medium-to-full-bodied cigar with hints of naturally sweet tobacco, spice, and rich leather.
The 2023 Society Cigar features a Honduran Habano wrapper, an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder, and filler tobaccos from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. It was blended and manufactured at El Credito factory in the Dominican. (For reference, the first Society Cigar was a Honduran Puro.)
“For this, our second ‘Society Cigar,’ we have created a smoking experience that reflects the collective preferences of La Gloria Cubana fans. This special release speaks to what this elite group of smokers currently looks for in a cigar, and we’re proud to bring it to life for them,” said Cory Beardsley, assistant brand manager for La Gloria Cubana.
Suggested drink pairings include brown ale, espresso, and Cabernet.
2023 La Gloria Cubana Society Cigar Product Information & Availability
The 2023 Society Cigar is a limited-edition release. It is available in a single frontmark — a 6.5 X 48 Toro. MSRP per cigar is $12.99, and the cigars will be sold in 10-count wooden boxes that feature the classic La Gloria Cubana logo. The band design differs from the original Society Cigar, and it includes a foot band with the year “2023” on it.
