My Wife's Ulterior Motive?

Yesterday, I got an email from Cigar Place announcing a great deal on Montecristo Platinum Robustos. With Free Shipping yet. Because they are some of my top-favorite cigars, I was oh-so-tempted to place an order. But I already have 6 or 7 in my humidor patiently waiting until I am in just the right mood to savor their deliciousness.

So, I told my wife that I was going to place an order. She just rolled her eyes and wryly smiled like, “Didn’t you tell me not long ago that you’re not buying any more cigars?” Uh, yeah. I later gave it some thought and decided not to place the order, and was actually quite proud of myself for resisting the temptation. But the price was so good that it was really a difficult decision.

Today at lunch, I was checking my email. Cigar Place sent a reminder that there are only 9 hours left to get that great deal. I softly muttered as I read the email, “Only 9 hours left for those Montecristos.” Before I could take another breath, she said, “So get them!” I replied, “No, I don’t really need them,” to which she stated, “I am TELLING you to get them! Please GET THEM!”

--Do you think there's an ulterior motive behind her willingness, no, her DIRECTIVE to bring those tasty sticks into the house right now?

--Do you think I should just keep my mouth shut when she announces that she "just found 'these adorable earrings'” and couldn’t resist buying them?

I think my answer to all the above is, “Yes.”

So be it. 🤪

🤣😂🤣 oh, my goodness… It sounds like you both are sitting at my kitchen table! The lure of the Monte platinum is strong… Fantastic smoke… But I would put those earrings in your back pocket and pull them out let’s just say a little bit more of an opportune moment!… Just my opinion, my friend!
