Smoked: EP Carrillo La Historia

Smoked at: West Chester, Ohio

EP Carrillo La Historia includes an Ecuador Sumatra binder holding Nicaraguan and Dominican filler with a San Andres wrapper. It’s a medium to medium-full body, medium strength cigar.

Flavor profile: Wood (starts out oaky transitions to more cedar), earthy, mineral, leather, mixed nuts, spice, pepper, a few notes of hay, grain, chocolate and dried fruit. Very heavy peppery retrohale.

Good draw, decent smoke output, The ash held very well and the burn line was fairly even throughout.

La Historia is a good cigar, but I can’t help but compare it to the Carrillo Pledge, Encore and Allegiance – all of which are much better in my opinion.
