Cigar Reviewed: Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real Nicaragua

Smoked at: Paradise Coast, FL

I learned that since 1875, this brand has been one of the best cigars by all. I was happy to try the Reserve Real because of their proven history and I was not disappointed. After the Cuba Embargo, they moved to the Dominican Republic and it appears that they do not disappoint their old record(s).

I like a deep v-cut, but on this one I did a straight cut. On my stick I noted that the light was a little tough but I ultimately was able to secure a nice orange head. My first draw was tight but it did relax after a few more draws and the first retro was okay, but was a little spicy. The draws throughout the smoke were very smooth and creamy with a light spice and not bitter. The flavors I noted the the first third were nutty, light spice on the tongue and in the retro. The ash burn also was even and tight.

To me this is a Mild to Medium smoke and I found it to be enjoyable.
