Smoked: Alec Bradley Black Market

Smoked at: Balcony

I was happy to see this cigar made #6 on Cigar Aficionado’s top 25 list. It is very attractive and very well constructed. Smooth surface and a nice leathery wrapper. This one really has some pepper going on. The second third was black pepper that was balanced but definitely the star of the show. Notes of leather and dark chocolate rounded it out.

I had a fairly decent burn and only needed a few corrections. The ash was darker than I was expecting but hung on very well. The tobacco’s from Panama made this a unique smoke for me and I had to look up the blend for this cigar to even know about that addition.

Towards the end it kept its pepper characteristics but melded into some dark cherry notes. A slight sweetness really drove this home for me. I plan on getting some for the humidor for sure just due to its unique make up.
