I loved that Rick answered my question tonight. I was very pleased. I was following the episode while smoking The Session.

CigarBob here. I met Rick about a year ago at a CAO event at the Habana House in Austin, Texas. Probably the best event I've ever attended and I have been to quite a few. Rick was entertaining and knowledgeable and took a real interest in talking with me. I told him I was not a fan of any box press type cigars. He educatated me as to the hows and whys of the design and introduced me to the Flathead 660 as it fit my profile for length and ring gauge. He shared one with me that night and I have been smoking them ever since. It is absolutely my go to Cigar now. Thanks Rick! If I could add a slight negative comment on the 660 it is that they don't all seem to burn as evenly as some of my other cigars. If it has to do with box press and how to light it properly I am open to suggestions as to proper lighting technique.

I was looking forward to traveling to Houston to attend this months Houston Cigar event as Rick was scheduled to be there but obviously that will not be happening so until things get back to "normal" I will look forward to these online events.

    Great Job Guys!!

For me, when I light square-pressed cigars, I focus on getting the 4 β€œcorners” first and the center - the sides quickly follow.
