### **Why Zócalo with a Paloma?**

This is the sweet and spicy pairing you didn’t know you needed. The CAO Zócalo is a celebration of flavor that starts with the complex earthiness and subtle sweetness of the San Andrés Morrón wrapper. Notes of dark cherry and coca perfectly contrast with the sharp, sweet grapefruit flavor of the Paloma. The cocktail’s salted rim and tart lime bring out a kick of spice from the Zócalo’s Nicaraguan fillers and African binder—ensuring a smoke and sip unlike any other. Give this combo a try, and if you’re feeling saucy, add a plate of tacos and enjoy the fiesta.

### **How to Make Your Own Paloma**

Did you know the Paloma is the most popular drink in Mexico? Makes sense as it’s a thirst-quenching tequila cocktail that’s great for warmer weather. It’s the perfect combination of sweet, tart, bitter, and salty, which makes it the ideal match for the complexity of the CAO Zócalo.

For a single serving, you’ll need:

- One mixing glass
- 6 oz. grapefruit juice
- 2 oz. fresh lime juice
- 6 oz. tequila
- ½ lime, sliced
- ¼ grapefruit, sliced
- Salt
- Club soda

Instructions:

1. Mix the grapefruit juice, lime juice, and tequila into a mixing glass or cocktail shaker - NO ICE
2. Run a slice of lime along the rim of the serving glass and dip the rim in salt
3. Pour your mix over ice
4. Top with club soda
5. Garnish with a slice of grapefruit or lime
6. Grab your Zócalo and enjoy!
