Chocolate not your thing? Vanilla tasting notes are some of the most classic found within cigar flavor profiles. While chocolate and coffee tasting notes are usually associated with dark cigars (Maduros and Oscuros), vanilla tasting notes go hand-in-hand with creamy Connecticut-Shade-wrapped cigars. (Though vanilla notes can and do appear in darker cigars from time to time.) Vanilla can be a driving force in a cigar’s flavor profile, so even those new to the hobby are likely to notice it.
