Like chocolate, cocoa tasting notes are fairly common in cigars. Normally, cigars with darker wrappers possess flavor profiles with chocolate or cocoa. (These are Maduros and Oscuros.) Cigars with cocoa may be overtly sweet, or they may balance cocoa notes with other flavors like earth, leather, cream, or even spice.
In addition to cigars with cocoa tasting notes that appear organically, there are also infused cigars that highlight chocolate tasting notes — and by extension, cocoa.
