## Perdomo Legacy Epicure Connecticut Toro Extra

Perdomo Legacy Epicure Connecticut Toro Extra weights in at 6 x 54 and uses Nicaraguan filler, a Nicaraguan Shade Grown binder and is covered in a smooth golden tan Ecuador Connecticut wrapper wirh tight seams and some visible veins. The band is a hologram-like effect of the Perdomo logo backing in gold, black, white and red.

Open draw with just the right amount of resistance, sketchy burn line that went haywire at times, tight ash that held well enough to keep the cigar cool burning, and no real wrapper issues beyond the burn line problems.

Cedar, pepper, earthy hay, a touch of cream, bread/toast, and dried fruit. Mild kitchen spice comes into the spectrum midway through the first third calming the pepper. I’m tasting a faint essence of cocoa, mixed nuts and hints of nutmeg or cinnamon. There are also some light roast coffee notes that are more present on the retrohale. It’s not uber complex, but balanced and loaded with enough identifiable Connecticut Shade notes. Call it medium bodied and strength.

The draw a tad tight, the smoke a tad light – recurring issues I’ve been experiencing with the cigars I’ve smoked recently. I’m hoping I’m just going through a faze. The burn line was somewhat erratic, but usually self-corrected. The light grey ash held to an inch.

The final third had some flavor issues. The cigar went a little flat with some acidic and dry notes. Otherwise, the Perdomo Legacy Epicure Connecticut was a solid cigar, an enjoyable smoke I would revisit. This stick is not in the same league as the 10th Anniversary Champgane Epicure, but it has its moments.
