Ministry of Cigars:
Sobremesa Brûlée Blue slated for August. But bad news for the international distributors and fans of the Sobremesa line. This limited edition is exclusively sold to American retailers due to the low number of cigars rolled. Combine that with high demand from the domestic market, there were no cigars left for an international release.

The Sobremesa Brûlée Blue is a tweaked limited edition of the Sobremesa Brûlée. It’s a 6½x46 vitola, a size that Steve Saka loves. Earlier this year, when he revealed his plans for this release he said that this is a cigar for the cigar geeks.
As for the blend, Saka wouldn’t be Saka if he didn’t tweak it, especially for this vitola. He took the blend which consists of Nicaraguan fillers, a Mexican binder, and an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper. And he played around with the tobaccos until he found the blend that works best for this long and relatively skinny cigar.

THE RINGS
Even though the release is limited to 13.000 cigars, Saka went all out for the rings. When Saka designed the original Sobremesa packaging, the printer said it could not be done. The embossing, the die-cut, the vistas, and the side cuts would be extremely challenging. But Saka loves challenges. He bought all the tools needed and hired a Master Craftsman Engraver from Germany. Someone who engraves high-end shotguns which can cost up to 50.000 USD.

Eventually, the vision of Saka was executed and won an international design and printing award in 2016. The same techniques are used for the Sobremesa Brûlée Blue rings, but now with a blue hue. The details on the rings are amazing and stand for the craftsmanship of Dunbarton’s cigars and the craftsmanship of its printing partner Van Tintelen Printing Art in The Netherlands.
